Professoren der Arbeitsgruppe für experimentelle Physik an Teilchenbeschleunigern am KIT Markus Klute
Professors of the KIT Experimental Collider Physics Group (from left to right): Ulrich Husemann, Günter Quast, Markus Klute, Torben Ferber, Jan Kieseler und Thomas Müller.

The Institute for Experimental Particle Physics ETP congratulates colleague Professor Thomas Müller for the endowment of the title “Senior Professor” following a decision of the Senate of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology on April 28, 2025.

With this title, KIT honors the contributions Prof. Müller has made over the past 30 years in research, teaching, and administration in Karlsruhe. He has played a key role in shaping the modern particle physics group at ETP — including its involvement at CERN and KEK in Japan — and will continue contributing to these activities in the future.

Prof. Müller will stay active in research and teaching in the coming years and thus remain member of the ETP team.
