Titanium wedge for the HGCAL detector

ETP successfully delivered the first of 26 titanium wedges to facilitate the mounting of the High-Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL) detector in CMS. The titanium wedges, meticulously designed and crafted, will play a crucial role in ensuring the precise positioning and stability of the HGCAL detector within CMS. The challenge is to keep the 230 ton detector in place while allowing the detector to adjust to temperature changes. The titanium wedges are one of a number of contributions to the HGCAL by KIT, including mechanics, electronics, and reconstruction algorithms.
