More than 80 researchers from all German universities and research institutes that are members of the Belle II experiment met at KIT to exchange ideas, discuss future directions, and to meet colleagues in person. The annual meeting is held in late summer and is a core event of the BMBF Research Focus (FSP) Belle II. While we enjoyed the warm late summer weather in Karlsruhe, participants showed the status of their ongoing analysis, software and computing projects, as well as hardware activities focussing on the pixel detector (PXD2) and the trigger system. The plenary sessions covered theory overviews by theoretical physicists, and a talk about sustainability in high energy physics. One highlight outside of the scientific program was the evening of the second day, where PhD students from ETP had organized activities to foster exchange and team building: Participants could choose between aquarell painting, soccer, dancing, and archery.
